Common questions and quick answers

"I don't see my product in the dashboard"

We only list products that have at least one option linked to a metafield. If a product's options are all regular (un-linked) text options, it won't appear — and you don't need our app to edit it. Edit it directly in Shopify Admin.

"My store has more than 2,000 products"

v1 lists the first 2,000 products in your store. If you have a larger catalog and need to unlock options on products beyond that limit, email us with your store domain and the product handles — we'll process them via bulk operations on our end.

"The unlock failed with an error from Shopify"

The app shows Shopify's error message verbatim in a red banner. Copy the exact text and send it to us — most errors are caused by shop-specific configuration (locked metafield definitions owned by another app, scope limits, etc.) and we can usually resolve them within a single back-and-forth.

"I want to re-link an option after unlocking"

Use Shopify Admin's standard option editor: Products → [your product] → Variants → Edit option → Connect to metafield. The in-app re-link tool is on the roadmap as a paid feature.

Bug reports and feature requests

Found a bug? Have an idea for a feature? Email us with [BUG] or [FEATURE] at the start of the subject and we'll route accordingly. Bug reports get a fix timeline within 48 hours of receipt. Feature requests are evaluated monthly and acknowledged with a "shipped / on roadmap / declined" decision.
