Terms of Service

1. About this service
Unlock Options ("the Service") is a Shopify app operated by Rebel Growth Operators that lets merchants clear metafield-linked connections from their product options. By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
2. What the Service does
The Service reads your store's product catalog to identify options that are linked to Shopify metafields and lets you clear those links one product at a time via the Shopify Admin API mutation productOptionUpdate. The Service uses variantStrategy: LEAVE_AS_IS on every unlock to ensure your existing variants, SKUs, prices, and inventory are not modified.
3. Free tier and future paid features
The Service is currently free for all merchants. We may introduce paid features in the future (e.g., bulk unlock, audit log access, re-link tooling); existing free functionality will remain available at no cost.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for understanding the consequences of unlocking a product option before confirming the unlock. The Service displays a confirmation modal listing exactly what will and will not change. By clicking "Unlock," you acknowledge that you have read and understood this information.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all Shopify themes and apps. Shopify's underlying APIs and behavior may change at any time, which may affect the Service.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rebel Growth Operators and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the greater of $100 USD or the amount you have paid us for the Service in the preceding 12 months.
7. Termination
You may uninstall the Service from your Shopify store at any time via Shopify Admin. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any merchant that violates these Terms or abuses the Service (e.g., automated abuse, attempting to extract data they don't have permission to access).
8. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we'll notify installed merchants at least 14 days in advance via the email Shopify provides us. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
